Women and Money book review
Suze Orman is a famous author, speaker, and financial planner advisor. She decided to write this book for women since all of her other ones were for everyone. She had witness women needed some financial advices in her perspective. Her book is the first to be publish by two women so this book is perfect for women to read and learn from someone who have lots of experiences on financial matters.Suze witnesses way too many incidences of women who doesn't take action into doing what they wanted as well as when it comes to financial aspects of things. For example, it's usually their spouse that takes care of the financial area in the relationship and what usually happens are three different thngs. 1. Divorce 2. Spouse died 3. physical and/or mental disability She have a 5 month Save Yourself Plan which should be followed by every women that wants to take charge of things. One example was one woman had her partner take care of the financial area and she was in the dark because she didn't care. Suze suggest that her partner teach her the ropes on it so she could be included on knowing what's going on and the good news was that he admitted on wanting her to be interested in finance. he was doing everything right even before she got involved on learning finance. There are men that prefer just being the only one that are in charge of finance and just being in the dark is not going to make things ok so what Suze suggest is to talk this over with the spouse. One of the biggest mistakes women make is saying yes where it would be easier but she wanted women to do what's right. What's right in her opinion was taking care of their own financial matters instead of helping someone with monetary reasons. instead of monetary help, there are other ways to get around it. Women usually suffer due to giving all the time with the money and in the end, she suffers financially and regrets it sometimes.because I am a stay at home mom, I feel lucky that I have a guy that would at least help me monetary since I take care of the kids. Even though I am lucky that I am with a guy who does help me with it, I still prefer more than anything to help myself without his help. I felt like I had been empowered because of people like her and happy that she have been well respected for years. She mention that it is important to not just have a will but have a revoccale living trust which is where you tell someone with the list of your wishes of what you want before you become incapacitated.Unfortuately, there was a story about it where a lady had been in a coma when she wrote it at the time in 2006. Her husband wanted to let her go while the lady's parents still wanted her on life support. Because without planning for the worst, the battle was still going on.I hope that you, as a woman or know any, will take the time to read this book. Not only does she also tell how to do some things about being cushioned financiallty. She also have a section about 8 qualities of a wealthy woman.Take the time if you can to read it and learn it.
