Credit Cards

Credit Cards

A couple weeks ago my purse was stolen with my driver's license and credit cards etc. So i called everything and cancelled my cards and put my credit on hold since there was paperwork in my purse containing my social security number. Well i get everything back (of course not the cash iPod or IDs) because it was thrown in the ditch somewhere.

Today i went to try and purchase a laptop that i need for school and try to open a credit card to purchase it with (college students are notorious for getting deeper in debt every day). But of course it gets rejected because i had put my credit on hold, well at least i know its working. But when i try and call in to get it removed all i have are options for things i don't need!! So of course i cannot remove the freeze on my credit, thus i cannot get a laptop which i need to write term papers and such. Where did the customer service o
f the old days go? Where you could talk to an actual person ( even if they are in India) instead of Kasey Kasum listing options that don't apply to me. So i ended up hanging up because there is not even an option for a operator and my credit is still frozen for the next two months or so. I ask myself, do i save up my quarters that i find in abandoned washers and dryers and save money from my measly paychecks that have turned into 150 for two weeks or max out my current credit card? Also im not even getting a 900 dollar laptop i want one for 400 dollars, sad i dont even have that in my bank account. So off to amazon i go to find a used laptop that will suit my basic needs. I find one for 250 shipping. The hard decision how to pay for it came, be responsible and use my own money? Or use borrowed money? I decided to pay with credit since it's not really "my money". It only becomes mine when the payments slap me in the face at the end of the month.
